Lino Luis García Espinosa.
Writer, illustrator and artist.
He was born in Vertientes, a small Cuban town near La Mula Beach, in the province of Camaguey. Upon graduating with a Bachelor of Audiovisual Communication degree from the University of Arts of Havana, he was a scriptwriter for children’s radio programs. He won a national Script Award for the radio adaptation of Homer’s The Iliad. Also, he was a finalist in the Art Nalon competition in Langreo, Asturias, for the short story Cide.
He lives in Madrid, Spain, with his wife and his daughter. He has worked as illustrator, designer and screenwriter for mobile video games, interactive books, and projects of animated series for children, among other jobs.
He is represented for children’s publishing by Essie White at Storm Literary Agency.
